BIOFABLAB - Innovation in assistive technologies
Science and social impact in the national production of digital and inclusive health.
Developing affordable and accessible healthcare solutions is a constant challenge for the public system. Often, essential assistive technologies for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses are expensive or depend exclusively on imports, making it difficult for those who need them most to access them.
In partnership with UFF and located at Serratec, BIOFABLAB is a laboratory that seeks to nationalize the production of these technologies. The project combines science and social impact to develop, test and validate solutions for the SUS, making public health more dignified and equitable.
